How to set up iHasco SSO with Okta

Supported Features

The Okta / iHasco Single Sign-On (SSO) integration currently supports the following features:

  • SP-initiated SAML2
  • Just In Time (JIT) Provisioning


Overview

 You will need:

  • Access to the SSO feature within the iHasco Atlas LMS. Tell your iHasco account manager that you want to use SSO and they will enable it.
  • Your unique iHASCO URL key. This is the last part of your Training URL. For example, if your URL is app.ihasco.co.uk/voovavoo then your URL key is voovavoo Your Training URL is shown on the home screen when you sign in to the LMS at https://app.ihasco.co.uk/client/login

 What you need to do:

  1. Add the iHasco training app to your Okta account.
  2. Create an iHasco Bookmark App in your Okta account.
  3. Test SSO with iHasco Training using your Okta portal.


Add the iHasco training app to your Okta account

  1. Sign in to your Okta account.
  2. Click Applications.
  3. Click Applications then click +Add Application.
  4. In the search box, type ‘ihasco’ and click search to show the list of available integrations.
  5. Select iHasco Training Suite and click Add.
  6. Select Do not display application icon to users (you will create a bookmark app in the next section). 
  7. Select Do not display application icon in the Okta Mobile App (you will create a bookmark app in the next section). 
  8. Click Done.
  9. Click the Sign On tab.
  10. Click Edit.
  11. Scroll to Advanced Sign-on Settings.
  12. Find URL Key and type your iHASCO URL key into the box.
  13. Click Save.
  14. Click View Setup Instructions and follow the instructions provided by Okta to complete your SSO configuration in your iHasco Atlas LMS.
  15. Assign your training users to the iHasco Training Suite app.


Create an iHasco Bookmark App

  1. In your Okta account, click Applications.
  2. Click Applications.
  3. In the search box, type ‘bookmark app’ and click search to show the list of available integrations.
  4. Select Bookmark App and click Add.
  5. Find General Settings.
  6. Find Application label and type in ‘iHASCO Training’.
  7. Find URL and type in your iHASCO Training URL.
  8. Click Done.

To change the default bookmark logo to the iHasco logo:

  1. Click the default logo to show Edit Logo information.
  2. Download the iHASCO logo with this link: iHasco Bookmark Logo.
  3. Upload the iHASCO logo to your iHASCO bookmark and click Update Logo.
  4. Click Close.

To add your training users to the iHasco training bookmark:

  1. Click the Assignments tab.
  2. Assign your training users to the list


Set the registration method in iHasco Atlas LMS

  1. Log in to the iHasco Atlas LMS as an Administrator
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Scroll down to the Advanced card and click Security.
  4. Find Registration Method and select Single Sign On Provider.
  5. Choose your new provider as the Selected Provider.
  6. Click Save changes.

Okta / iHasco SSO set up is now complete.


Test SSO using Okta

Note Remember to add users to the iHASCO Training app in Okta and sign out of any iHASCO administrator accounts before testing.

  1. In your Okta User Home, click iHasco Training.

If the test is successful, you will be signed in and taken to the iHasco My Learning screen (or to the iHasco Atlas LMS if testing with a pre-registered admin account).
